Record It Right

How to film your golf swing

Clear, correctly aligned footage makes your analysis more accurate. Record both angles at normal speed and slow motion, keeping your full body, club, and ball in frame from setup through finish.

Angle 01

Face-on view

  • Place the camera directly opposite your chest, perpendicular to the target line.
  • Set the lens around hand height at address, not on the ground.
  • Stand far enough away to show the entire club throughout the swing.
Angle 02

Down-the-line view

  • Position the camera behind you on the line running through your hands toward the target.
  • Keep the lens around hand height and avoid filming from the ground.
  • Frame the ball, your feet, and the full club through the finish.
Before you press record

Use a tripod or stable support, clean the lens, choose bright light behind the camera, and record 2–3 representative swings with the same club from each angle. If available, use 60 fps or your phone's slow-motion mode.
